In this episode I talk about the National Debate Tournament - who is it for? Why is it being more and more crowdfunded? And what can it do to futureproof itself?

Cliffside pedagogy is a rhetorical pedagogy that says that your work is done when you point out, or allow your opponent in an argument or debate to fall over, trip, or make a mistake.

This pedagogy isn't effective for engagement in larger debates than something monastic, like the NDT. It also doesn't allow the full power of debate to come out of your practice.
